Tornado here in Chicago. Well at least funnel clouds have been spotted by police with rotations but no actual “tornado”. Kinda like a bigger version of a dust devil.

Randomness

Posted by Icehuck on June 25th, 2008

So, I think I will start making random postings until I figure in what direction I would like to take this site.  Today, I  have Linux to talk about. Two distributions that I like right now are Ubuntu and Arch Linux.  Ubuntu’s goal is to be a it just works distribution. Run the install and it aims to have everything ready to go to get you web browsing and checking email. It doesn’t always work out that way but it is getting better. Arch Linux is the complete opposite of this approach. You get a command line and have to configure everything. Both distributions do not require you to compile for 2 days straight (cough Gentoo). So there you have it.
